“I can guarantee you, I can track down more crimes that they’ve committed because overall, immigrants have a lower, um, crime committal rate than white supremacists."
Representative Jasmine Crockett appeared on MS Now (formerly MSNBC) where she addressed the Trump administration’s ongoing efforts to deport illegal immigrants, arguing that instead the United States should be deporting “white supremacists” because they commit “more crimes” than immigrants.
Crockett made the comments on The Weekend, where she referenced the recent shooting of two National Guardsmen by an Afghan migrant. Crockett echoed comments from other left-wing commentators, suggesting President Donald Trump was at fault by saying the guardsmen should not have been in Washington, DC to begin with. She then criticized the Trump administration for attempting to reduce immigration and deport illegal immigrants.

“Now you want to go against every single immigrant. That doesn’t make sense,” she said. “And it’s frankly not who we are because if that’s the case, let’s talk about the white supremacists and how many of them need to be kicked out of this country.”
“I can guarantee you, I can track down more crimes that they’ve committed because overall, immigrants have a lower, um, crime committal rate than white supremacists, but we don’t wanna talk about that in this country,” Crockett added.
Her comments follow a pattern of statements in which Crockett has argued that white supremacy is a significant national threat. She has previously tied President Donald Trump to white supremacy and claimed white supremacists are responsible for most extreme crimes in the country.
“Let me make sure y’all got the facts, most extreme crimes that take place in this country are committed by white supremacists,” Crockett said in a speech after taking office. “80 percent of extreme crimes are committed by white supremacists in this country.”
The data Crockett cites appears to be a misinterpretation of data from the 2023 Anti-Defamation League report on murder and extremism in the United States, which found that white supremacists were linked to 84 percent of extremist-related murders. The figure has faced scrutiny because it refers to a narrow subset of ideologically motivated extremist murders rather than “extreme crimes” broadly, which would include violent offenses such as homicides, assaults, and robberies.
Meanwhile, the latest FBI crime data shows that in 2019, 7,964 arrests for murder or nonnegligent manslaughter were made, with 51 percent involving black suspects and 47 percent involving white suspects, with many Hispanics counted in the white category.
