Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is getting set for a presidential run, according to Fox News host Laura Ingram. Ingrahm said the Democrat lawmaker is "building the most powerful political operation we’ve seen since Obama."

"AOC is positioning herself to run for president in 2028. Republicans, as you fight amongst yourselves, she’s building the most powerful political operation we’ve seen since Obama," Ingrahm posted to X in response to a video from Ocasio-Cortez posting about her Thanksgiving turkey drive, which reportedly saw donations go to her campaign coffers, instead of immediately to a non-profit organization.

The report from Ingrahm comes as there have been rumors and other reports that the "Squad" congresswoman is setting herself up to run for the Senate or the White House in 2028. The video shared by Ingrahm had Ocasio-Cortez speaking about how she was able to donate 1,600 turkeys on Thanksgiving.

There has been a lot of speculation over who will be running for president come 2028 on the Republican side, as Trump will not be eligible for a third term. Vice President JD Vance, as well as Secretary of State Marco Rubio, are names that have been thrown around in some circles.

With the Democrats, things seem to be more uncertain about candidates who will be announcing a run for the White House. According to a poll from June, 62 percent of Democrats said that "the leadership of the Democrat Party should be replaced with new people."

A more recent poll from November shows that Democrats do not know who their party leader is. In response to a poll conducted by Politico, those who voted for Kamala Harris were asked to answer the question: "Who do you consider to be the leader of the Democratic Party?"

The top response was "I don't know" or a similar variation, with 21 percent of people having no idea. 11 percent of those who responded said "nobody." Harris got 16 percent of the respondents, and any other name was in the single digits.

With what appears to be a wide-open field for the Democrats in 2028, it may give the opportunity for someone like Ocasio-Cortez, who has often been thought of as on the far left of the Democrat Party, to have a better shot at becoming a potential candidate for the White House.
