Human Events has obtained undercover footage of an Abigail Spanberger campaign organizer laughing and rolling her eyes when discussing the campaign’s reaction to murder of Charlie Kirk. Spanberger is running to serve at governor of Virginia against Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears.
In the video dated Sept. 16, just six days after Kirk's murder, campaign organizer for Spanberger Maame Ama Deegbe responds to questions about the atmosphere in Virginia following his death.
"Virginia's a little bit of a hot spot for everything," a man asks Deegbe as the two sit in a restaurant, "like, far right. It's like crazy right now."
"I can't legally talk about the Charlie thing but if you want to talk about the Charlie thing I have all the ears for you in the world," Deegbe said. "Like I wanna hear your thoughts."
"I mean, so I try to stay away from like the news," the man asks, "and just get my formulated opinions. I mean like obviously, death is terrible."
"Fair," Deegbe said.
"But like, I don't know," the man continued. "I don't know, what do you think?"
Deegbe laughs and shakes her wavy hair. "I would be sad if you had died," she said, "I don't think I would—I'll leave it there." But clearly she thinks she has met a potentially kindred spirit for her Kirk hate.
"You seem like a good person," Deegbe said.
"But you're not sad about—"
"Can I say the same for Charlie?" She rolls her eyes, indicating that she would not call Kirk, a father of two, a husband, and a man who offered open conversation to everyone, a good man. "I'll just leave that there."

"And we are staying very far away from it," Deegbe said.
Spanberger leads in polling despite the many scandals that have plagued her campaign. With election day fast approaching, the margin between the two candidates is in single digits, with Earle-Sears holding 43% of voters to Spanberger's 52%.
The leaked video comes after a previous video of Deegbe was leaked, causing Deegbe to delete her LinkedIn profile. In that video, shared by Fox New Digital, Deegbe spoke about her misgivings about the candidate she was supporting.
She said that Spanberger was a "CIA agent, literally, which is crazy, like yeah, vote for the CIA agent, guys, like what the f*ck." She went on to say "I don’t know what happened. We’re in, like, the darkest timeline."
"Our only choices are between a Black woman, which ordinarily all for, but this time you think we should bring back slavery, Winsome. … Even with that, it’s like either vote for the Black woman who thinks that slavery should be brought back or vote for the White woman who was in the CIA," Deegbe said.
She also claimed that the whole political campaign thing is a "really big pyramid scheme," but that they pay her "really, really good money."
"We’re all working for the betterment of not really a person but for what the person represents and what that representation is going to be for the rest of the nation," Deegbe said. "Focusing so much on the representation, it kind of feels like I’m in The Wizard of Oz … like all of this is behind the smoke and mirrors and curtains.
Earle-Sears brought this up on the debate stage against Spanberger but instead of address the issue, she stood there stony-faced and refused to respond to her opponent. Democrat Party chapters shared cartoons making Earle-Sears look like a crazed lunatic for even asking Spanberger's position on Jones' violent rhetoric.
Spanberger is also on the record backing trans-identified males playing in women's and girls' sports, on a case-by-case basis and for allowing those males to use women's facilities. Jones is not polling ahead of incumbent GOP AG Jason Miyares.
Following Kirk's brutal murder at Utah Valley State on Sept. 10, Democrats in politics and the punditry have made no bones about their feelings toward Kirk, smearing him with lies and falsehoods about his positions and beliefs.
